Daytona Beach, FL – The owners of Volusia Mall, who expect to complete a nearly $5 million face-lift project next month, aren’t done with efforts to revitalize the Volusia-Flagler area’s largest shopping center.

CBL & Associates officials are considering a plan to add a cluster of restaurants in front of the mall along International Speedway Boulevard in a project whose working title is “Volusia Mall Streetscape.”

The project, still in the early planning stage, would include the demolition of one of the three Dillard’s department stores at the mall to make way for two of the four standalone buildings planned in the Streetscape project, said L. Gale Lemerand, a local entrepreneur who has been in talks with CBL about leasing a space in one of the planned out-parcel buildings.
