Cherokee County, GA – With help from the opening of the Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta, the month of July saw a staggering increase of about 130 percent in the number of new businesses choosing to call Cherokee County home.
Of the 176 new businesses getting their working papers around Cherokee in July, 91 of them were retailers in the 370,000-square-foot Woodstock shopping center, and officials say the numbers are just a taste of impact the development will prove to have on the county.
Pam Carnes, president and she said she CEO of the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce, said the increase in business licenses, up from 76 in July 2012, is “of course” due to the Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta. And she hopes the development will attract more business to move into the county.Continue Reading »
