Decatur, AL – From financial fiasco to fairytale future. Decatur Mall is ready to make magic with money amounting to $48 million.

That’s in addition to mall makeovers already in the works. A new Carmike theater is far from fiction. Carmike is coming soon. And Belk begins renovations next month.

Heidi Jubenville is Belk’s Decatur store manager. “Our shoe department is actually going to double in size,” she showed us. Jubenville’s already excited about Belk’s own $5 million makeover — from floor to ceiling and everything in between. “Every area of our store will be expanded and remodeled from the inside to the exterior of the building,” Jubenville told WAAY31 FirstNews.
