February 18th, 2013Southwest Florida Retailers Upbeat About Pace of Sales
National retail sales aren’t expected to see a drastic change in growth in 2013, but many Southwest Florida stores are predicting a boost in business.
Jonathan Cannon, manager of Sears at Edison Mall, said the store saw positive trends in its third and fourth quarters with increases across all departments. This trend carried into the new fiscal year on Feb. 3, he said, as Southwest Florida consumers seem more comfortable making purchases.
“If the trends hold true as they have, I would say 2013 would probably be one of my better years over the last five or six years,” he said.Continue Reading »
