May 26th, 2013Hillsdale Mall Aims to Trade in Sears for Target
San Mateo, CA – City officials will get their first chance Tuesday to weigh in on a developer’s ambitious plans to revamp the Hillsdale Shopping Center — the biggest mall on the mid-Peninsula.
Bohannon Development Company has proposed an overhaul for the drab north end of the shopping center that would replace Sears and Cost Plus and bring in a 171,000-square-foot Target store and a luxury cinema. The project also calls for adding a handful of smaller retail stores, a new food court and various streetscape improvements.
Southern California-based Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas is in talks to operate the movie theaters, which would include dining and bar service.Continue Reading »
