Shopping at the airport is about to become a lot more fun with a slew of luxury brands and retailers opening stores in various airports in the U.S. and throughout the world this year.
But for many brands, expanding into airports is more than just an opportunity to open up a new store – it’s a chance to create a special experience for their jet-setting customers.
“We’re not just putting shops into airports, we’re making [these stores] brand experiences,” Kim Gray, the head of retail strategy at London Heathrow Airport, told WWD.
