Bloomington, MN – The Mall of America is beginning to market the new retail space that will be built as part of its Phase 1C expansion on the north side of the property.

The mall sent two people from its leasing team to the International Council of Shopping Center’s New York National Conference, which takes place Monday and Tuesday in New York City, to pitch the project to prospective tenants. Phase 1C will include 150,000 square feet of retail space, in addition to a 347-room luxury hotel and a two-level underground parking garage.

The mall has had preliminary talks with retailers about the project, but the ICSC event will serve as the formal “soft launch,” said Kurt Hagen, senior vice president of development for Triple Five, the Canadian company that owns Mall of America.
