Companies are creating marketing campaigns for airport venues because they know travelers are captive audiences. Before 9/11, flyers could arrive with only a few minutes to spare before take-off. The last thing they wanted to do was shop. Today passengers having to check-in several hours before their flight, which means they have time to shop.

Airport shopping for both travelers and non-travelers is becoming big business in the retail sector with many companies creating customized airport marketing campaigns.
