Detroit, MI - Somerset Collection’s CityLoft popup shops are returning to a new location on Woodward Avenue in downtown Detroit, featuring 40 mostly high-end retailers for three weekends this summer.

The kiosk-like shops will move to 1261 Woodward from last year’s 1441 Woodward spot at Lofts at Merchants Row. The renovated 8,000 square feet of space — more than 6,000 square feet for retail — will cost $300,000 upon completion, a Somerset Collection spokesman said Monday in an email.

“Last year, Detroit rolled out the red carpet for us,” said Linda McIntosh, marketing director for Somerset Collection, the upscale Troy mall. “We made the decision to come back bigger and better.”
