GRAND RAPIDS — The impending arrival of women’s store Anthropologie is stoking interest in Breton Village, a once-bustling shopping mall that lost some of its mojo following the economic slowdown.

At least two more national clothing stores, a fitness studio and a full-service restaurant are seriously considering leases or have signed letters of intent, said Scott Wierda, co-owner of the shopping center with Brian DeVries, of Jade Pig Ventures.

Anthropologie, an upscale women’s clothing and home accessories store, is expected to take possession of the 10,000-square-foot space that will be its new store in two weeks with an opening in early November.
