Birch Run, Michigan — With school starting in just about a week, parents across Mid-Michigan are shopping for school items.

New stores like Toys ‘R’ Us Express and Esprit, known for its youth and fashionable style, had their soft grand opening.

Kids and parents could be found shopping and arguing about what to buy.

“Jeans and long T-shirt, jackets, boots,” are what Eryka is interested in.

Kennedy has to wear a uniform to school, but she hopes accessorizing will pull her look together.
