Winter Springs – Aranza Zamora and her son, Ivan, were trying to make a go of selling the rag dolls that would eventually take the name Adorable Kinders.

They had a kiosk at the Florida Mall to “test the water” before going big on the manufacturing. But then, Ivan died suddenly while riding his bike home from work. He had a congenital heart condition that had gone unnoticed.

“The next month, he pass away suddenly,” Zamora said. “I get so upset I threw everything away.”

Since then, Zamora has married Greg Goodenbury and became Aranza Zamora-Goodenbury. When Aranza gave a friend’s daughter one of the dolls, Greg heard the full story behind them.

Now the couple is making another go of it, this time in Ivan’s memory. And they’ve decided to have their manufacturing plant and showroom in Winter Springs off of State Road 434.

“And then here we are,” Aranza said. “He (Greg) is a businessman. I think he was the part I was missing my whole life when I tried young.”
