The nation’s unstable economy has created a stale business environment in many cities, but the La Quinta Chamber of Commerce is trying to revive its business district with hip ways to communicate with members and consumers.

“It’s a new generation out there and we have to think differently than the way we did in the past,” said Chamber President and CEO David Archer.

The Chamber launched “The Good News Network” in mid-December, which are weekly videos about Chamber news posted on YouTube.

The YouTube posts include “ambush videos” where local businesses are profiled in-shop in an impromptu manner to talk about any special offers and promotions, Archer said.
