Westfield Century City to unveil $1 billion remodel on Tuesdayby Annlee Ellingson
More than two years in the making, the $1 billion redevelopment of Westfield Century City will be unveiled at a grand opening on Tuesday night.
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and Westfield co-CEOs Peter and Steven Lowy are slated to be on hand to celebrate the “modernization and beautification” of the 1.3 million-square-foot retail, restaurant and entertainment destination.
A majority of the site’s 200-plus shops and restaurants will be open for business, including a new three-level Nordstrom (NYSE: JWN). More stores and eateries will open later, including the West Coast’s first Eataly, an Italian marketplace, which will open later in October.
