Amsterdam is known for its many attractions from scenic canals and cafés to famous museums. One of the hot spots that does not readily come to mind is falafel shops.
For Scott and Arianne Bennett, discovering and eating at the city’s numerous falafel shops became more than just a fun vacation tradition. It served as the inspiration to launch their own national restaurant franchise. “We kept going back on our trips, and whenever we got off the plane, the first place we would go would be to eat falafel,” says Arianne Bennett, President and CEO of the Amsterdam Falafelshop, a restaurant franchise headquartered in Washington, D.C.
