Cincinnati, OH – Six new businesses have signed leases at Cincinnati Mall, raising the occupancy rate to nearly 50 percent of the site’s more than 1.5 million-square-feet of space, its developers said Monday.
The businesses – which leased approximately 50,000-square-feet – include a video gaming arcade, a fitness club and a permanent make-up and micro-pigmentation studio. Cincinnati Mall straddles the Fairfield and Forest Park border in Butler and Hamilton counties near Interstate 275.
It has been slightly more than a year since mall owner World Properties LLC of New York announced plans to redevelop the property into a mixed-use entertainment facility. At the beginning of 2011, it was less than a third occupied, said General Manager Karla Ellsworth.
